It means that the public transportation immobilised its operations for the whole week due to its demand of NOT allowing the modernisation of the old jeepneys. Jeepneys are the main transportation in the Philippines and have been running for centuries.
I have seen them, and yes to some extent I believe that they should be upgraded, however, there are definitely some issues that both parties should be dealing with first.
Although our VAs in the Philippines are not directly impacted by this situation, they are however indirectly affected, as some of the VAs are mums and so having their kids around as they work may add small disruptions.
