Giving Back

Virtual Elves was proud to be a part of the recent Freedom Runners charity event, supporting ultra-marathon runners Samantha Gash & Mimi Anderson in their quest to raise awareness and funds for underprivileged women in South Africa who do not have access to basic sanitary items.

We arranged a fundraising event and a wonderful night at the fantastic Harbourd Digger’s club, kicking off with lucky door prizes and some inspirational words from ultra-marathon runners Richard Bettles and Samantha Gash herself in attendance. We capped off the night with popcorn, a sneaky glass of wine and a special viewing of of the 2013 documentary “Desert Runners” which chronicled the hardships and triumphs of a group of ultra-marathon athletes – with all proceeds going to Freedom Runners.

We are proud to have raised $2492.30 that went towards supporting their campaign to raise $50K for the cause.

To follow Samantha and Mimi as they undertake this amazing run, connect with Samantha on Facebook. Daily updates and your support I am sure will be greatly appreciated!
