Congratulations on progressing to the skill assessment stage of the hiring process! This is an opportunity for you to showcase your abilities and demonstrate why you’re the perfect fit for the role. Here’s what you need to know about skill assessment:
Welcome to the Graphic Design Assessment! This assessment will evaluate your proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop, as well as your ability to create a logo. Please carefully read the instructions for each section before proceeding.
Instructions:
- Download the Answer sheet doc below, and insert all necessary designs and responses based on the tasks below.
- Please record your process using https://www.screencapture.com/, kindly choose the screen and camera when answering and completing the assessment.
- Add the recording link to the bottom of your answer sheet.
- Save the answer sheet in a PDF format with this file name (Name + Date + Graphic Design Skill Assessment).
- In the Google Drive Folder shared with Virtual Elves, create a sub-folder and name it: Graphic Design Assessment Answer Sheet, and upload the answer sheet here.
- Once completed please email the recruitment team to hiring@virtualelves.com, to let us know you have completed the Assessment.
Assessment Submission schedule: Within 24 hours upon receipt of the instructions from Virtual Elves.
Section 1: Canva Design
Task: Create a social media post using Canva for a fictional event called “Tech Innovators Conference 2024.”
- Include the event name, date, and a brief description.
- Use relevant images, colors, and fonts that align with the tech theme.
- Ensure the design is visually appealing and professional.
Section 2: Adobe Photoshop Skills
Task: Edit a provided image in Adobe Photoshop
- Adjust the brightness and contrast to enhance the image quality.
- Remove any unwanted objects or blemishes.
- Add a text overlay with the phrase “Explore the Beauty.”
- Image: Upload or paste the image on the answer sheet
Section 3: Logo Creation
Task: Create a logo for a fictional company named “EcoTech Solutions.”
- The logo should reflect the company’s focus on environmentally friendly technology solutions.
- Use Adobe Illustrator or any other vector graphic software.
- Ensure the logo is simple, memorable, and scalable.
